Obama: McCain would be better than Bush
April 20, 2008 by Dan Solis
Earlier today, Barack Obama said John McCain would be better than George W. Bush:
“You have a real choice in this election. Either Democrat would be better than John McCain,” Obama said. “And all three of us would be better than George Bush.” [source]
But wait, I thought he said McCain would be a “third Bush term”? [source]
A little while ago, Hillary Clinton responded:
“Senator Obama said today that John McCain would be better for the country than George Bush,” she said. “Senator McCain is a real American patriot who has served our country with distinction. But Senator McCain would follow the same failed policies that have been so wrong for our country in the last 7 years.” [source]
Has Barack Obama sealed his fate in the Pennsyl-mania primary?

Sealed his fate? Please!!! If he has, then Hillary sealed hers long ago!
March 3rd, Hillary said:
“I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. Sen. John McCain has a lifetime of experience that he’d bring to the White House. And Sen. Obama has a speech he gave in 2002.”
Oh yeah, that’s much better!
Well Hillary has said McCain would be a better president than Obama, so I really don’t see how this is so much more wrong that anything Hillary said.
Joshua, that’s NOT what she really said, and we all know it. Mia gave us the quote, and you have to admit, Mrs. Clinton makes a very good point.
Dan,
I do not concede that Clinton made a “good point.” Experience or not, she and McCain have made several serious foreign policy blunders, and to cover up their incompetence, they both attack Obama, who has shown very good judgment on nearly every issue, if not all issues, facing our great nation.
For example, these three (3) foreign policy issues have been raised in various debates: 1) The Iraq War; 2) Pakistan; 3) Cuba
IRAQ - Obama opposed the Iraq War from day one, and he has a plan to get us out! He was right; Clinton and McCain were wrong!
PAKISTAN - Obama warned against “putting all of our eggs in the Musharraf basket.” He was right! What do we do now that Musharraf (one of the 10 worst dictators in the world, but whom we considered to be one our closest “allies”) is rendered powerless, Islamic Extremists are in control, and the country has become a haven for Osama and his followers??? Both Clinton and McCain attacked Obama for wanting to “bomb Pakistan” (which was yet another twisting of Obama’s position). What Obama actually said was that if we had credible intelligence (which we now have) that Obama and his followers were hiding in Pakistand, and Pakistan became either unwilling or unable to cooperate and help turn over the terrorists to the US, we would need to “strike” against our enemies (which, of course, we just did a couple of months ago). Again, Obama was right; Clinton and McCain were wrong!
CUBA - Obama will end the era of completely ignoring our enemies, which clearly produces no positive results. He will meet without preconditions, but he will expect the “enemy” to agree in advance to discuss certain issues (i.e,. nuclear disarmament, human rights, political prisoners, etc.). Again, Clinton and McCain want to continue the failed Bush policies of ignoring anyone we don’t like (unless, of course, we trade with them and owe them billions of dollars, like with China).
Compare Obama’’s POSITIONS and JUDGMENT to those of Hillary and McCain and there is no question who is qualified to lead. Hillary is a liar, and McCain actually believes that war is a NATURAL STATE for our country to be in…
At all times…
At least for the next 8 years…
And probably for the next 100…
A vote for Hillary is only slightly better than a vote for McCain, and a vote for McCain is only slightly better than a vote for Bush! Obama was right to say what he said. Hillary is simply spinning!
I see that I’m not the first one to point out that Hillary beat Barack to the “praise McCain” , thing by a LONG shot! This is more typical Hillary, old style political negative spin. Exactly why she will not be getting my vote.
