Bayh, Kaine Not VP
August 22, 2008 by Jeff Pritchard · Leave a Comment
From the AP:
Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh and Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine have been told by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s campaign they will not be his vice presidential choice, NBC News reported on Friday quoting sources.
Speculation about Obama’s choice has centered on Bayh, Kaine and Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden. Other names in the mix include Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Texas Rep. Chet Edwards.
Obama and his campaign have offered little information but the Illinois senator said earlier this week he had made up his mind about the choice.
UPDATE: Flight from Delaware to Illinois, arrived in Illinois late Friday night. A flight to perhaps pick up Biden?

Obama Campaign: Ready to fight
July 17, 2008 by Jeff Pritchard · Leave a Comment

Today the Washington Post reported that Barack Obama’s campaign for president will open 20 new offices in the state of Virginia. Some of these offices are located in areas where he didn’t do well in the Virginia Primary, and where Senator McCain is favored greatly. The Obama campaign is putting resources into areas where the pundits would have you believe he doesn’t stand a chance. This campaign, however, is not going to concede any state without a fight. The very sad news has just broken that Tim Russert, moderator of Meet the Press, has died at age 58. Russert has been a key figure in the coverage of the 2008 Election cycle, and will be deeply missed. Russert had just returned from Europe on a trip celebrating the college graduation of his son. The thoughts of everyone at Think Youth go out to Russert’s family.
Why Kathleen Sebelius should be Obama’s VP
June 8, 2008 by Jeff Pritchard · 16 Comments

(Note: I would love for it to be a number of other people as well, I just chose Governor Sebelius for the sole fact that not too many people know much about her)
Kathleen Sebelius is a name that is being tossed around alot now in the discussion about Obama’s Veepstakes, and I think that she would be a fantastic choice. Read more

Edwards to endorse Obama?
May 14, 2008 by Jeff Pritchard · Leave a Comment

Obama’s campaign is saying that at 7 PM EST, Barack Obama will be receiving a “Major National Endorsement”. Rumors have been flying all around the Blogosphere, and It seems to be the general consensus that this mystery endorser is none other that Former Senator John Edwards from North Carolina.
This post is being written completely off of speculation, and, in about 2 hours we will see if this speculation has any merit.
If this does turn out to be true, then this is, in my eyes, the end of the Democratic Race. Edwards popularity among working class voters will help Obama gain in this much needed demographic. As an Obama supporter, I will concede that Barack does need to work hard to get the working class voters to support him in November; but I believe Edwards is just the guy to do it. John Edwards in my view will be a pioneer for the remaining undecideds who have been holding off endorsements. If this endorser is in fact Edwards, I believe this will trigger a boom in SuperDels to the Obama Camp.
Even if this doesn’t pan out, I still believe that Obama has the Democratic nod all but locked up, and I look forward to beating John McCain in November.
UPDATE: Edwards WILL endorse Obama at 7 PM at a campaign event .
